Rudra Narayan Chaudhari, who was taken in custody after his girlfriend Manisha Gharti Magar, the sister of national football team striker Bimal Gharti Magar, was found dead in a suspicious condition in Nawalparasi last Thursday, has “passed” a lie-detection test, police said. Police Inspector Ram Prasad Pandey, who led the test on the suspect as a polygraph expert, said that Chaudhari was asked 11 questions. ne of the questions was if he strangled the 17-year-old girl to death. In response, Chaudhari said that he did not kill her.

Police said they looked into the phone details of the deceased and her boyfriend, Chaudhari. The couple had made 218 calls to each other in last one week. Gharti alone had telephoned Chaudhari for 116 times. Chaudhari had visited Gharti on May 25. She was found dead in her house the following morning.

Poojana Pradhan  actually is Gurung by birth, not Pradhan. Poojana’s 
mother Uma Pradhan and father Khadga Bahadur Gurung decided to divorce 
when Poojana was a little kid.  
 
When her dad married another woman she 
started living with the single mom.  Being with the Pradhan mom, it 
never came to her that she has to write Gurung as her last name. Her 
parents named her Puja in her childhood. 
 
Her father being a Gurung, Poojana is forced to use Gurung in her 
official documents. Although Poojana’s mother is Pradhan, she is not 
allowed to use it as her surname in her official documents. 
 
 That is the 
reason, she has Gurung in her citizenship and passport. Poojana’s real 
first name is also different, Pooja. She lengthened Pooja to Poojana in 
the starting days of her modeling career. Poojana claims that she had 
renamed herself on the suggestion of astrologers after numerological 
analysis. 
 
After establishing herself as a model, Poojana started her own 
business and started being engaged in Jaya Sangat Ashram for orphan 
children. She calls the children her own daughters and is trying to 
erase the erotic image she used to have.

 At least 14 people, including six children, have been killed in a bus crash in southern Turkey, local media reports say. At least 26 others are reported to have been injured in the accident, which occurred in the city of Osmaniye as the bus was returning from a school trip. The state-run Anadolu Agency said the bus collided with a car, lost control and veered into an irrigation canal. Rescue teams have been searching the canal for missing passengers. Earlier, passers-by and residents jumped into the water to try and rescue people trapped inside the bus, Hurriyet newspaper reported. Turkish media said the children were from a school in Hatay province which borders Syria, and were on their way back from a trip to a museum and a national park.(Source:- BBC)

Son of the crown prince (later, from 1955, king) Mahendra, Birendra was educated at St. Joseph’s College (Darjeeling, India), Eton College (England), Tokyo University (1967), and Harvard University (1967–68) and traveled extensively before acceding to the throne on his father’s death on January 31, 1972. 
 
 (He was crowned on February 24, 1975.) Birendra continued the autocratic tradition of his father, who had dissolved the elected parliament in 1960 and banned political parties in the constitution of 1962; indeed, for a time, Birendra was one of the world’s few remaining absolute monarchs. He managed to maintain Nepal’s independence despite encroaching influences by India, China, and the Soviet Union. During his reign Nepal was opened up to extensive tourism. Beginning early in 1990, a popular prodemocracy movement led to demonstrations that erupted into bloody clashes between the soldiers and police and the demonstrators. Submitting to pressure, Birendra lifted the ban on political activity and on November 9, 1990, approved a new constitution that preserved his status as chief of state but confirmed multiparty democracy, a separation of powers, and the protection of human rights.
